Awesome. I noticed at about 11:00 that the original had room in the front for a full sized spare tire

The cars in that time were simply awesome looking. Not just the GT.

Carrying a spare was part of the regulations, and there was also a luggage capacity requirement along with 2 seats.

Yep. It was the same rule that gave the suitcase dimple on the cobras. The oblique ref was that the FGT barely has room for a box of kleenex. Thus is progress.

Note also he removed it and bounced it on the ground. Also part of the rules..
