I have an '06 GT that does not have the adjustable screw bumpers for the clam shell. The driver side of the clam shell would not latch all the way unless I shut the clam shell fairly hard. That was a pain. So based on other posts about the '05s, I made two 1/16" spacers and put them under the latch mech on the driver's side which raised it up 1/16". The clam shell closes very nice and easy now.

While I was looking at the engine I also noticed a loose bolt laying on the bottom of one of the supports. It had apparently just been dropped in the engine as it had not been used. I also noticed some paint runs on the bottom of the hood section. You cannot see them unless you open the hood and then they are fairly apparent. As the hood of the car was still sealed when I received it, I know it was that way from the factory. It is a great car but it seems they were fairly casual about building it.
