What are you guys using for cat delete pipes? Is there a Ford Racing part,or just fabricating the pipes? How are you keeping the sensor/check engine light from going off?
Thanks
I allready have the FRPP muffler

I understand, but he said he used the FRPP cat delete pipes, NOT the headers. Is this a FRPP part, or did they fabricate something
thanks

It is at the dyno shop, so I have not heard it yet. This is what he just sent me.

Last pull 629.1 hp

We are seeing speeds of 164mph at 6500rpm in the top of 4th gear.

I haven't done any changes on my car but I see 172mph on my speedometer(and 170 mph on my GPS) what is quite normal as you can see from the graph.

That's a lot of technical stuff, too much for me :eek

I'm not an expert driver at all, but the shift chart seems to indicate optimal shifting well under red line. I always though that maximum acceleration came from getting close to redline before shifting. Anyone care to clarify for me?

The "speed in gear chart" indicates a top speed of well over 250. Is this strictly a dyno speed that does not take wind resistance into account? And if wind resistance IS a factor, won't that slow it down in all of the top gears? In other words, 170 in 4th gear isn't really possible on the road....

The car has plenty of "leverage" in all gears but 6th to hit redline.

Again, look at that graph. The curve coming up from the bottom is the power required to overcome drag. The top curves are the power available from the engine in the various gears. The distance between the curves is the force that is available to accelerate the car.

For example, at 170mph, the drag is 500 pounds, but the drivetrain produces 1000 lb in fifth gear, leaving 500 to accelerate the car.

When the bottom curve meets the top curve, all of the available power is being used to overcome drag, and the car stops accelerating. So that's the top speed.

You can see that the top speed in 6th gear is about 210, while the top speed in 5th is about 215.

However, the production cars are electronically limited to 205 for tire safety reasons.....

Good explanation.
5th is quicker than 6th !!
But believe me the car is not electronically limited - that is a rumor

I was at a dyno shop last week and watched the tuner open up the data on the computer and saw it for my own eyes.....205....Then I watched him kill it. :biggrin

One of 19 (GER) may be right, however, is it possible that the Euro export versions are not limited to 205 MPH? Maybe the 205 MPH limit is for USA versions? Jay

Anyone living out in Nevada/Utah/western Colorado/ Arizona/New Mexico, care to coment about 206+mph on American Ford GT versions? Are the Euro cars the only ones with no speed limeters?
