Already have the halon system but ordered the interior extinguisher. I have a reoccurring fear of blowing myself up

Where does the P-82 mount in my GT. I would like to purchase one, however I prefer not to drill holes.
    Thanks

One option is to mount the unit on the right side of the console just above the storage cavity. (I placed mine there initially but found it to be a bit obtrusive while compromising precious storage space. If you go this route be sure to use 1/2" to 3/4" standoffs (you will need longer bolts as well) between the console and the mounting plate to prevent the plate from contacting the console which could result in damage. I learned this the hard way!

The other option is to mount the unit onto the passenger seat's two front seat-track bolts. You will lose fore and aft adjustability but with the seat set in its rearmost position, that's a negledgible compromise. The appearance is innocuous and in no way obtrusive. Some feel it is necessary to use slightly longer seat track bolts - my measurements suggested otherwise so I used the stock bolts and encountered no difficulties.

    Good luck ..... joe
