I have Nespresso machines both at work and at home. The one at work is going on 8 yrs and used at least 5 times daily and still going strong. I have a lattissma at home and makes a decent cappuccino, however their stand alone milk frothier is second to none. Some may argue coffee in capsules is not as fresh but try one . (either direct or via william sonoma where you can try the machines). Their system is taking over Europe because of the ease and remarkable closeness to a real italian espresso. The key is in the pressure the machine can make to extract the flavor and "oils" from the coffee.hence the light brown film on top (nespresso has 18BAR).

I second the recomendation for the Technivorum. I have had mine for better than 5 years. I decalcify about every 6 months but it works great, brews HOT coffee at the proper extraction temp and is built like a tank. Simple no fuss machine that works.

I recently purchased a DeLonghi full automatic cappucino machine (wife likes milk in her coffee) and so far, it works very well with little maintainance. Was surprised how well thought out the milk frothing system was for daily use. Milk frother section is steam cleaned after each use and the container goes in the fridge. Easy.

Will likely move the Technivorm to the motorhome for great coffee when 'camping'.
