Default New performance goodies for my snake!

I gave in and bought a Belanger full system today for my Gen IV Roadster. Headers, high flow cats, exhaust etc...
Wondering if anyone else here has used that setup and what the result was.

I got quite tired of the Viper exhaust tractor-like sound and wanted to get closer to a brute V8, though I know the 8.4 liter V10 will never get there, but at least - or perhaps more rumble and roar...something more enticing!

Next, I'm going for the 355 rear end...and then maybe she'll kick more like the GT or my Z at the bottom of the gears.

Who else here has done this?

I've pretty much got your setup. ACRX headers, single cat, stock mufflers. There is a youtube video of my car doing drive bys, look it up on youtube by using "bad boyzz garage ACRX track headers" in the search feature. This way you can compare sounds and get an idea of what you're going to end up with.

Just had 3.55's with an OS Giken installed a couple of months ago. I also have a BBG race clutch that I installed just before driving off for last years VOI.

The two best mods for the Gen 4 Viper is the 3.55 and the lightweight clutch. My 2009 Coupe now revs up and down the rpm range like a true sports car. You can "feel" the car and it is much more responsive in the first 3 gears (where you spend the majority of your "fun time"). Not only does it rev up faster, but you have much better decompression braking....something the stock Gen 4 was lacking. When playing in tight corners, you have much better control under both acceleration and de-celeration. With the 3.55's, driving in stop and go San Francisco traffic is easy, even with the race clutch. Another plus is I can cruise in 6th gear and not feel like I'm lugging the car.

The main reason I upgraded the clutch was my car did not have consistent shifting. My car can now be shifted with one or two fingers on both upshift and downshifts. As you know, the car has a very sluggish throttle response from off idle to about 4000 rpm...once you get above 4500 rpm all hell breaks loose. This was done for emissions purposes. My headers and clutch definately add up to make the car, dare I say it....more European in feel.

You'll love the sound of your new exhaust....no more diesel delivery truck sounds

    Cheers,
    George

FBA: You did not mention but presume you added the MOPAR PCM...that will up the RPM a bit and allow for better throttle response; highly suggest you do the ported intake while you are at it....

Do yourself a big favor and do the 3.33 gears the 3.55 are better suited for the gen 2, you will thank me later. As far as the lightened flywheels if you’re not going to track the car don’t bother it's a PITA with stop and go traffic. And x2 on the mopar PCM.

Well, I did the 355's, Belanger headers/exhaust, but no Mopar PCM. Thing pops like a bitch on decel, but the car isn't the same car anymore. She's totally responsive, runs through the gears like a Banshee...and has become a whole new type of blast to drive! From what I've read about the Mopar PCM, I don't see a huge gain there in throttle response, or am I wrong? Exactly what will I see if I add the PCM?
