Thanks TP. I have never had one in my life, and always curious, since Bony was always talking about them.

Default I think Bony was working on this one.......

    Her Inner Secret recipe

    1 oz Maker's Mark® bourbon whiskey
    1 oz Hpnotiq® liqueur
    1/2 oz triple sec

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well and pour into a cocktail glass over crushed or shaven ice. Garnish with a cherry, and serve.

Had a MMM on Thursday in honor of Bony. Actually, I liked it. I was just surprised at the color, all the pics I saw of him with a drink, I was expecting a whisky glass with clear liquid, not a martini glass with 'pink' liquid.

I guess its just yet more good advice from the man.

I must confess! Last night Sue and I went to dinner at our favorite spot (Gus's) and sat at our special table. I ordered a Maker's Mark Manhattan in honor of my Idol and mentor Boney and Sue ordered a Dirty Martini. When the drinks arrived we tosted twice to Boney with a tears in our eyes and talked about all the good times and the Bonyisms we've experienced. Honestly guys it was all I could do to drink that Manhattan (I am a Grey Goose/tonic drinker). Only Boney could enjoy it! I even questioned it ingredience with the bartender. It took me three vodks and tonics to get my palet back in shape but I still love Boney and I promise I will try to cultivate a taste for Manhattans before #IV in Texas. Enough said. God Bless Boney And God Bless The USA. PS I think my Mother and Dad drank them in the 50's-60's. I can't wait to ask Carroll Shelby next month if he ever drank them? I'm sure he did! Had my first 6 MMM's at Bony's memorial dinner on Wednesday. Like Superfly, I found them pretty tasty too. I think I will mix one up now and then and have a brief reflection of my short time knowing Bony.

At this point I think it's only fair that Makers Mark send their check as a forum sponsor. Are we even sure that Bony didn't work for them?

Ahh, Jake, perhaps that's the secret - one needs to drink 6 or more the first time!

Bony always ordered them with 3:1 bourbon:rest of ingredients. A little more potent.
