I dragged my wife to the Petersen Museum (Los Angeles, CA) this weekend and we did the Vault Tour.

At the very end of the tour, there were three Ford GT's.

A red with white stripes 2017 NFGT. A 2006 Ford GT.

And Chassis P/1075, one of the only two race cars to win the 24 Hours of LeMans in consecutive years.

I believe the sister car, Chassis P/1074, without the same racing pedigree sold for $11,000,000.00, perhaps in 2012.

No photos are permitted in the Vault itself.

And the Petersen gift shop also had a nice selection of models.

Very cool Randy. Did they say why no photos? That seems really odd.

Fading this-and-that is the very reason given for not allowing flash photos inside Hearst's Castle. So...

Yes, the spokesperson indicated that The Vault policy of no video / no photography policy has nothing to do with images of the vehicles, as many of these vehicles are known and have been photographed many times.

The Vault spokesperson indicated that it was due to security concerns, that they did not want someone to compile locations of the vehicles and cameras and entry and exit points.
