I think there were a LOT of ridiculous aspects of this year's race but this infraction was pretty silly on the side of Ford. How hard is it to abide by a minimum driver time rule? Seems that almost everyone else got it right.

Gentlemen,

The rules of the game are what they are and if they were all enforced all the time it wouldn’t be so frustrating. But at Le Mans sometimes they are enforced and sometimes not. Two years ago a Ford GT was forced to pit and lose a lot of time to fix a number plate back light. But the Ferrari that finished 2nd was allowed to race and finish with a required position light out. The rules are not maddening but selective enforcement certainly is. If the Pig Porsche crew had the same driver time infraction would they have been stripped of their win? Perhaps, but I wouldn’t bet my life on that.
