Didn't get the heritage so it's time to get serious about a color scheme.

Is photoshop the preferred tool to evaluate colors as accurately as possible before generating an actual sample? Can you enter a paint code, or ???? Can it add stripes, roundels, etc.?

Thanks! :thumbsup

If you are looking to to PTS, what was helpful for us, was we went to various dealerships (usually at a cars and coffee), and went through the dealer's color books. These are actual representations, of the real color. Then on a couple of the colors, we went and found a car in that color. We even had to track down a used cars, as the color wasnt in production any longer.

If the stock colors, if you dont have your order kit, that will help, as the samples there are accurate.

No! First, you'd need a calibrated monitor (not just an ordinary LCD). Then you'd need controlled color profiles. Then, you'd need color temperature controlled lighting. Even then, you are seeing transmitted light color and not reflected light color. Do not ever make a big color decision based on monitor viewing.

You need to look at samples/swatches/real paint. And you need to view them outdoors in sun, shade, and under clouds.

Personally, I'd pay Dave Kindig a consulting fee. Love his color taste. People with skills can really help you find something you might not find on your own. It's normal to use a decorator for a home. Same thing.

Talk with DBK... he can help with special paint selections... as long as you don't select Riveria Blue

If choosing a custom color. It’s one thing to choose a color that can be seen on a car. But if choosing a color from a panel or catalogue, will the concierge send you a painted color sample(s)?

Just don’t ask him for advice about facial hair.

Will the concierge tell you how many cars have already been ordered/built in a given color (standard and PTS)? I think they will...

I think not. They won't even tell you how many cars in a certain area or state. Until you order, they won't say who servicing dealers are.
