Mac Radio Question

I want to have the ability to use Bluetooth to stream audio through my Mac radio, and use handsfree for phone calls.

At present, I use a noise cancelling headset to make / receive calls, but it's useless for streaming. Also, it's a pain to wear it.

There is an Aux input on the Mac. Without going in and pulling the radio just yet, does anyone know what configuration that input is? Is it a 3.5mm stereo input, dual RCA, or something else?

It's either that, or I change the radio out for something else and just shelve this one for now.

Hey FBA!

The input on the Mac is a dual RCA. Makes it nice and easy. I replaced mine with this unit from JL Audio as a recommendation from another forum member and it's worked perfectly. Excellent sound quality and easy pairing. Only downside is that you can't take calls with it...music only.

I guess that's because there is no mic /mic circuit. How tough was it to pull the radio? I found an Anker unit that will work with hands-free... So I'm inclined to try that!

Thanks for the heads up!

If you have the right little tools to pull the radio, it's a snap. You pretty much have to order them, but they're cheap and available from many vendors. Search the Technical Forum for more info.

Thanks - I had managed to find them last night!
