I dropped my car at South Bay Ford In Los Angeles and they quoted me $750 to do a oil change.. Does anymore know the true "book" time to complete a oil change by ford ? I was told they have to do extensive work to get to the filter and pump the lines - however I doubt this is over 8 hrs ?

I paid NY Ford dealer: $225

$80 Labor (1hr)
$45 Filter
$10/qt. oil (10)

Go to:

Galpin Ford in Valley (right off exit); usually 4-6 GTs in bays
Santa Monica Ford

"extensive work to get to the filter and pump the lines", I would run for the hills, do yourself a favor and contact Kendall and Ryan at Cool Tech LLC (forum member nota4re), they're a short drive North of LAX and can expertly service the FGT. :thumbsup

Sarasota Ford. $172.50 or $70 labor if you supply oil and filter.

Pack of two Mann filters is $12.80 on Amazon.

Is it a 2017 Ford GT or a 2005/2006 FGT?

The 2017's are about $750.00 If I recall.

^^^ Good question, although this post is in the 05-06 tech sub-forum.

American dollars? There's really nothing to it. Filter is accessible, no pumping lines. You talking an '05/06, right?

The OP may not have noticed either. Still an open question.

Having done mine many times, not one line is in the way, 3 plugs, and one filter. Takes longer to get the 2 pans off, and clean them, than to change the oil. Actually, cleaning the pans and underside of the car is the longest part of the whole process.

I paid $650 for the first oil change on my ‘17 GT but nowhere near that on the ‘06. Perhaps when he called the dealer thought he was asking about a new GT oil change.

That’s over $10 per belly pan screw! Do it yourself, it’s easy-peasy. While you’re at it, fit a quick-connect to the dry sump tank drain - that makes it even easier and lets you run a hose down into the used oil container

Is the oil change procedure unique or difficult for the NFGT?

2017 is unique from the 05,06 but "easier" I was told by Joe Siccoli the technician at Milliken. He does my 2006FGT, Shelby Mustangs, TBird and the new 2017 FordGT.
I Had my 2017FGT done last year at 600 miles. If I recall the expensive part was the oil itself. Gold Castrol .
(He also painted one of the drain plugs yellow and said if I ever change oil myself DO NOT REMOVE that one).
