At least with snow on the ground, the 4 week wait to get it wrapped isn't as crazy-making as it will be for us. I know we're going to want to drive it.

Just drive it !
protect key areas with blue painters tape.
For my car , that was good for at least 500 miles...!!
took off the tape ...Then wrapped and it was perfect.
