The story of my 2017 NFGT #126 one of the very first delivered in Europe...

Hi guys.

First of all I would like to reflect a little, now that my 2017 NFGT has been delivered yesterday.
Indeed this was a special moment for me, as it properly is for all of us when we get handed the keys to our long anticipated monster of a Ford.

If any of you are like “Jason Watt?? – registered 2005, has 1100 + posts, and I’ve never heard of him” this is due to the fact that I’m formerly knows as “One of 101”.

Yesterday I had to part with my European (One of 101) 2005 GT bought from new, and it has been a thrill to own, drive, modify and experience life lasting memories in this car.

But unfortunately I’m not able to keep two GT’s in the household, so as good the pair looked together on their first date, they will not be enjoying each other’s company in the future.

So obviously no more need for my old nickname, and therefore I simply took use of my own name.

Ford of Denmark were hosting an awesome event yesterday, and I had my NFGT delivered surrounded by 50 Danish press and Ford invited VIP’s. Both my GT’s there, 260 KG Ford ice sculpture, Ford GT cake, Champagne and I had the chance to talk about how I grew up with a dad racing in a 1971 Ford Escort Mark 1, and how I sidelined with my own professional racing carrier, also raced a historic 1966 Mustang sharing it with my dad. We had some great times before he 4 years ago passed away suffering from lung cancer.

Story short, in 1999 I was involved in a motorcycle accident, I broke my back and haven't walked since. I've since won proffesional championships in a hand controlled racing car, and my 2005 GT I also mastered with hand controls, even with at 1050HP TT motor.

My NFGT is painted in the extended color palette “Le Mans Blue” and I had the orange Gulf stripe added in vinyl wrap. I tried to stay as close to the 2006 heritage and GT40 look as I could. Matt carbon, standard Black wheels and standard interior but leather steering wheel is what I went for. As far as I know I’m the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] or 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] private person to receive a European car.

First glance and I was in love. So aggressive even sitting there quiet, and when those head light LED’s come to life, car looks like an alligator with it’s eyes just above the water surface, ready to attack and surprise it’s pray. Lower and wider in real life that pictures has you think, and gorgeous from every angle.

A few pictures from yesterdays event, these were shot outside by the local car spotters as there where standing by waiting for the old and the new already famous Ford GT to leave the party.

Congrats Jason. It appears that you won't be the only one enjoying your NFGT due to you giving rides at events.
