Anyone ever race in the Arkansas mile?
http://ecta-lsr.net/2017/11/2018-schedule-heres-when-well-be-racing-in-arkansas/

Looks like they have 3 weekends this year.
April 13-15
June 2-3
September 28-30

Looks easily driveable from Atlanta.

Oops, safety requirements look prohibitive. Cage required.

Maybe the Texas mile is better.

Texas mile requires a cage too, but a waiver has been granted for 05-06 cars because of the proven strength of the frame.

Update:
The East Coast Timing Association now has a Street Category. The safety requirements are much more relaxed, but still have a roll bar requirement. I just sent an email to them requesting a roll bar waiver similar to the Texas Mile. I'll keep everyone posted.

For cars running 185MPH, or less
Helmet Snell 2010 or newer
Suit Single layer fire retardant
Shoes SFI 3.3/5
Gloves SFI 3.3/5

2004-2008 cars will require a roll bar for speeds above 150mph
2009 and newer cars roll bar is not required but recommended

I just spoke to the gentleman who runs this event. He is fine with Ford GTs running the event as long as there are no modifications that would impact their crash worthiness.

Runway is 11,600 ft.

I'm thinking about either the April or June date.
April 13-15
June 2-3
September 28-30

Anyone interested?
