Door open light

My son & I both recently bought Ford GT's and both our cars have the door ajar light on.

I got mine to go out by pushing down on one of the corners of the rear hatch but the light is on again and this fix no longer works.

I'm assuming there may be an adjustment to correct this but no adjustment is obvious at the latches

I've checked the doors and the rear hatch several times but can't get the light to extinguish.

Can anyone help with a suggested fix for us?

Thanks,

Jack

Check the hood. Always the culprit.

Yes, open the hood and close it hard.
This usually happens when we press the "open hood" on the key fob by mistake.

Try your wipers. If they don't run right, it's the open front trunk.

Both the hood and clamshell. Don't be wussy when closing them. Let them drop from 4-6 inches. I tried the "let rest on the latches and give it a gentle push" and it would give me the light. I let them drop a little and they always close. When pushing they do latch but I just don't think they engage the switch all the way.

It just happened to me during the Texas Roundup weekend. I went down a bumpy road and the front hood came loose.

Almost positively the hood, but don't shut it too hard. I've seen more than one get cracked from people being too aggro shutting it.

Agree not to "slam" front, drop from 6-8 inches should suffice.

Make sure the water hose for the wipers isnt pinched under the trunk tray if someone changed the battery.......
If its pinched it raises the lip popping the light.
