Curious - are the stripes on the new 350R's removable vinyl, or painted on? Been toying with the idea of one, but not a stripe guy for whatever reason.

Also, curious thoughts of owners on car in general. Have ridden in one and really liked it. Didn't get to drive.

This is Demoman's 350R. He stayed with us for the rally, and after a few bourbons, let me coax the keys away from him. For the money, this is the best production-racecar I have ever driven. It accelerates, decelerates and handles superbly. It sounds great too!
On the track, with a skilled driver behind the wheel, it was getting point-bys from many GTs both 05-06 and 17s.
I liked it sooooo much, I am trying to find a place to stash one in my garage!
The only negative to me is it's low clearance for a daily driver. Special care must be taken to avoid scraping. The front lift setting on the NFGT would be nice on this car.
I looked hard at the stripes and recall that they are painted on.

The stripes are not painted on. What an awesome car it is. :)

Yes, stripes are vinyl and can be removed (or added).

The over the roof stripes are pin striped with red on the outer edges. Plus:

Small red badges front and rear.
Dash Plaque
Rear Spoiler
Carbon wheels

These are the visual clues that it's a 'R'. Otherwise, looks like a regular GT350.

I would leave the stripes.

Could not have said it better. It's the best bang for the buck, bar none.

Are you talking about the R? I know you can get non R at MSRP.

I was at my friendly local Ford dealer today and he has a non 'R' GT 350 (white / blue stripes) for $10k over on the showroom floor. I mentioned that the ADM's are usually only on the R's and he said he just sold a non R sister car for +$10k. I'm not certain I believe it but he also has 2 Focus RS in inventory. Who knows...

This has been my observation, though prices seem to be declining on Rs.

Yeah the R's are going to be very hard to get in 18 also. Actually it looks like they might cut it in half production wise so that means only about 250-300 total.
We currently have a 17 GT350 lightning blue with white stripes that we would love to sell! Asking MSRP but will look at all offers!

Special K is right on with his assessment, especially regarding nose clearance. I am not a stripe guy either...I chose black roof.

Someone on a Mustang forum claimed to be an employee at Flat Rock and said 2017 production of MY2017 stopped at HR942. I believe 526 were built in 2016 and 37 in 2015. That brings us to 1,505 cars so far. Rumors are for a short production run for MY2018. Looks to be total production around 2,000 or so (just a guess).

The only time I have heard of that happening is when a 2017 GT buyer gets that deal because they took delivery of their NGT from the same dealer. Does this scenario apply to these two people?

There seems to be a glut of Rs in Texas. Most of the MSRP deals are coming out of there. Mostly black and white cars. I was 6 minutes late at getting one for MSRP. These are regular Joes.

I’ve seen a few Rs on the secondary market.

Yeah, but most are trying to recoup some if not all of their ADM's
