So I have been watching this thread for the last week. With commission the car sold for $278,000 with 8% commission. That is a good price in this market for the mileage. Enough said.

I had guessed the market was $275k on this car...I posted as a datapoint/information only.
I'm from Jax, school in G'ville, property on Perdido Key...I am trying to get back to Florida!!!

Was just cruising ebay and saw this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-Ford-F...ash=item3d4372b80f:g:7iYAAOSw~qNZhMDV&vxp=mtr

2 miles. I'm amazed that people can buy these cars and never drive them.

I can't imagine wanting a totally unused car like that. Lots of stuff in these machines needs exercise to remain happy.

Does anyone remember Brewster's Millions?
This car reminds me of the priceless stamp he purchased and then mailed.
Brewster would have had fun putting miles on this GT!

I'm pretty sure I saw that car up on rear wheel jacks, transmission in reverse, floored, for three days.

What difference would that make, other than to add even more miles. The odometer use an electronic pulse detector. It doesn't care what the direction the wheels are turning unlike the old mechanical odometers. To set it backward you have to run them forward until it rolls over, it might take a long time since I think it reads in the millions of miles. Nothing a pulse generator can't do with enough time.

This car is for sale in Houston. I believe our friend, Anthony Cantrell. The famous unsolicited letter sending scheme.

I remember that but didn't make the connection. Must be old age slowing down the neurons.

Didn't the car fall off the jack stands and took a dive?

As I recall, the Ferris Bueller 'kit' car sold at auction a few years ago... around $300 k I think. The description said there were two of them... but this old brain is a little foggy. Please correct if anyone knows better!

It was a kit car, and there were more than 2. My father in law was involved in making the cars. Got sued by Ferrari and won. I believe the car molds were sold to Cal Spyder where you can order one today.
