I recently purchased a used Ford GT, and the coilovers had been replaced, i am not sure the brand. i was told by the tech that they make noise on regular city driving, a rattling noise when going in or out of drive ways, or going over a speed bump. he said that is normal, part of the deal with these coilovers. i am considering going back to stock. any idea the best place to get stock coil overs, and how difficult is it to swap out? thanks for the help.

Sounds like you need the shock & spring assembly, sold as "Kit - Shock Absorber."

Somebody here may have take-offs.

Rear: 4G7Z-18125-AA

A Google search will turn up many sources.

I wonder if the car has been lowered enough for the springs to unload and rattle on rebound. I was warned about that by Scott Ahlman when I spec'd out my shocks. That can be remedied by raising the car slightly or installing helper springs.

Changing the struts, with springs installed already is a simple swap.
