Competition Package, Track Package , what ever you call it will be few and far between when it comes down to orders. There is literally nowhere in the US that you could enjoy a New GT without Airconditioning. I don't think Ford is counting on many of these packages being ordered unless you wanted to strictly race it and most race cars (late model) have Airconditioning. I think more is being made of what is speculation at this point. When I ordered my GT very little was told to me about this package or order specs.

So that's what the little tube under the body is for...

We wouldn't know because our Dear Leader hasn't posted under car pictures yet!

Maybe a hand-crank to move the wing up or down and to lower the car :)

I was offered the choice of a comp version during the order process... which I declined.

They should have called it the Ford GT Superfast.

Everything omitted drops the vehicle weight, giving a higher weight:HP ratio. Even the paint omitted from some of the features drops a little. It all adds up.

Does this version still have active aero or is it fixed wing?

Looks like Titanium Exhaust, manual engine latch, lexan rear window hatch with extra venting, grey finish on the wheels and a solid, bare carbon stripe. Wonder what else is (or isn't) included?
No AC, no radio? And no back seat? :>)

A little story might have relevance, back in 1965 I had a street version of the 1966 427 AC Cobra on order. I added options like a roll bar , hood scoop, outside exhaust, 9 1/2" rear wheels and flared fenders. Shelby American called me about 1 month before delivery and said that they could give me the SC version of the car for the same price because I had so many options. I turned them down because the SC cars did not come with a heater, that move was about a $500,000 mistake in today's market.

Agree, and I should be so lucky to get 30 more LOL.
However, I was at the Seattle Mecum last year and a 1 of 20 '67 L88 Vet went up for auction (a car that also couldn't be ordered with AC) and the bidding died at 3.2 million before the reserve was met.
Living in Idaho, I could drive it for about 5 to 6 months out of a year.
Just can't get over how fortunate I am to be inline for one of these.

I hear ya on the rare factor.. but you know there won't be petrol and the cars will be driving themselves in the not to distant future.. I guess your heirs could benefit from the rarity if you want to live with no A/C.. I could probably handle the no A/C but live without a radio are you kidding me !! :lol

You know, we have 2 cobra R's, I have no problem not having ac. The problem is the rally's. Last year in TX we could have not survived with out AC. If just in New England, I would be aok.
