Order Call Friday - what do you want to know?

This will become part 2 of the Forza Ford GT series. We are still talking with Ford about how much of this we capture, my preference is all of it. I don't plan on just reading through a list of questions, but what do you want to know? I'll try to work it in.

My understanding is that since we are out of the early order process Ford is more comfortable with information coming out, but we'll see. Hopefully we get this all sorted out in time for Friday. Extra challenging with NAIAS happening right now.

Can you buy another set of wheels at the same time you buy the car? If so, how much? I'll order the carbon wheels, but I'd like to get a set of the forged wheels too.

Is there any way to see, touch and sit in a car before the order is finalized?

Will they deliver the car to your door? Who will deliver it and what instructions will the buyer get?

From our past posts on this forum:

Delivery. Any where you want. Yes, to your door.

Wheels. We don't know if you can order spare set with car. They are not easily changeable as wheel studs are different from CF to aluminum.

Sit/touch car. If you aren't first then at our rally this fall you should be able to do this.

Width at outside of rear tires. This is a critical dimension for trailering.

Without mirrors, it's a shade under 79". The 06 is a shade under 77".

This will probably be the determining factor for current trailers being able to work with the NFGT.

Without mirrors, it's a shade under 79". The 06 is a shade under 77".

It will fit in your Trailex with 2" on either side (tire to inner wheel well) if centered.

That will take some precision driving, but heck...it's an automatic!

Width at the mirrors would have to be under ~89". Sounds like the mirrors will not fold. (?)

Mirrors fold. It's under 89" either way. Barely with them out.

Mirrors out would be a good way to get precisely centered before driving all the way in.

Wenching in is the only way to center a GT into the Trailex trailer. You will have lots,of problems trying to drive them in with wheel scrape as well as tearing up front tires. I also sold my Trailex to a Forum member last week from Austin, Texas. I'll either drive my new GT or ship it and FedEx our clothes. happy Happy Happy.
