Read today new Bronco will use the same solid Dana axles as the Jeep. Looks like were on our way to having a real off road vehicle again.

Don´t worry .... I´ll be the only one driving it .... and having survived what I have so far - I´m pretty comfortable that I will survive the Bronco too :wink:rofl:lol

I guess all I´m missing in my small Ford collection is a light brown metallic Pinto (with a blower sticking through the Hood :wink:biggrin )

:cheers

The company that is rebuilding my 1971 Bronco sent me pictures of the motor today.

Those of you with a keen eye will notice the block and oil pan are painted 05/06 FGT midnight blue (paint code LA) to match my O5 FGT.

Anders, that thing is awesome!

Yes - really is nice. Has an older exterior repaint - and totally rust free - all original - 116K miles - everything works - the big engine, factory quad shock setup in front .... :thumbsup

A 4 inch lift and a set of 10x15 Turbines with 35/12½ tires and it will be just like I want it :lol:facepalm::biggrin

very nice and it's no OJ white

Really love the two tone coloroptions of that time - especially Brown/cream or red/cream ..... will almost match my 75 F150 Supercab which is Brown/Wimbledon White :wink

Wow, that is sweet! Where is it?

Found it on Craigslist in Ohio - originally from Colorado - always looking for rust free cars

When the new Bronco does come out I will have one. There I said it.

I saved that quote so you can not back out now :biggrin I hope it will be close to the rendering we have seen on the web .... look great - too bad it will cost 200K at least here in Denmark

wow - cool motor. What are the specs?

306 cubic inches and 390 HP. All I asked him to do was to put a serpentine belt on the motor and he took a little liberty with the rest. He said, "I put every piece of bling I could find on your motor, plus a roller cam, aluminum heads, roller rockers and electric assisted brakes, etc." I want it to be streetable and hopefully it still is. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. I'm supposed to get the completed truck back in March.

When you say big motor do you mean 460 or 351? Also, what year is it?

Wonder if they will offer an "O.J." package. That would be cool.

Where would you recommend them putting the blood stains?

It is a 1979. They only made this bodystyle in 78 and 79 - and it is my absolute favorite although I also like both the 80-85s and the 94-96s. For some reason the 1. gen Bronco went all the way up to 1977 even though the F150 truck that the 78/79 Bronco is based on already was released in 1973 - so the redesign of the Bronco was 5 years late compared to similar truck series .... therefore only lasting to 1979 as the new truckdesign was presented again in 1980.
Although not big bucks - I believe the 78-79 Broncos will go up in price quite a lot when the new Bronco is released (They already have appreciated a lot over past 3-5 years)

I believe they only had the 351M and the 400M engine as options during these years - so really not much power. This one has the 400M engine. You also had various options regarding axles/ratios, GVWRs, trim level etc. This one is pretty well optioned. Has the highest GVWR (6400), quad shocks in front, roll bar, AC, XLT interior trim, two tone paint etc.

Where would you recommend them putting the blood stains?

I´ll prefer one without .... :lol:lol
