WOW! pretty cool. Looks like it was not a one speed car like the Tesla. I thought I saw him shift the gears at one point.

It does look neat but I think he mis-quoted the price tag in the article. It's not a "quarter-of-a-million dollars" if I read the title correctly. Nonetheless, I still wouldn't pay $250,000 for something like that.

its like people have lost the sense of what "value" is or how to measure it anymore. I should probably stop before this becomes philosophical

Like it or not, it's the wave of the future. The real threat for our new Ford GT is the mid-engined Corvette which seems like a real possibility. Won't have the pedigree or the exclusivity but if it does materialize, it will have a similar performance envelope. In the future, when technology evolves, electric cars will dominate any gas powered vehicle. As for me, I'll continue to exercise my Gas powered V8 with a stick shift. Nothing will ever match the sound, the smell and the sheer joy to all of the senses.
