'Scrunched 'my rear splitter on a driveway tonight

Pulled out of a friends driveway tonight and did not realize how low the pavement to the road was.
Crushed the LH two outboard vertical veins on the rear splitter.
Not terrible , but about 1/2 inch.

I know at one time on the Forum there was a recommended "Repair procedure" and 'recommended material' that was used.

Link me up if someone recalls the thread please...

In the meantime, I'll look for, then post pics I took of the 'trimming job' Chip Foose did on his GT that came out real nice.

Thanks so much everyone... it is off to the hardware store tomorrow for materials for repair.
(sorry too for the misuse of the words.... they are "vanes" not the "veins".. sorry Dr. Frank...)

It's OK, it's a veinial sin, not an arterial sin.

If an acceptable repair isn't possible, Stillen makes just the Venturi "fins" out of a more flexible material. These are a good option, as Ford only sells the whole pan as a complete assembly.

Oh no. This "grammar" thing is spreading throughout the hole forum.

The diffuser repairs are very impressive. Very cool.

Those stillen fins are great fun to drive behind, at certain speeds you can see them fluttering around

I would be suspect that their effective down force is reduced if they are deflecting. Probably not a great route if the down force is important (for most it isn't)

Well -- in the heat , and as a non-professional driver like others here...during that FGT Rallye in Austin and the Texas Mile.., my best mile time was 160 MPH .
:(:(
The ''bugs as big as birds'' in my radiators slowed me a bit.. .but yes , the diffuser worked just fine.
