Dash defrost vent part #?

Tomcat

I am looking for the part # (and a source) for replacement dash defrost vents.
The dash material is pulling away from my vents and I envision using a replacement vent to use as a template to develop a wider collar that would hold the dash material down and cover the growing gap around some of my vents.
Thanks,
Tom

The material is shrinking and/or the adhesive failing. Time for replacement.

Not an easy job. Had mine done last summer. Found a perfect match on the leather.

Tom: I didn't forget you. that part was never serviced by Ford for a GT however I believe it to be from an F-series truck. I will keep looking for my files.

No problem...
Frankly I just want a (simple) solution for shrinking dash leather around the vent

Any luck with the part # for this vent?
I took one out but it does not seem to be stamped with a #?

that's the grill in the hood. not the defroster vent. the vents have never been serviced separately for a GT

I would have thought it might be molded in but I did not see it on the one I took out and inspected.

yes you are right, maybe x2builders has a damaged dash top.

I understood that they were from the Ford parts bin and might have been used on other platforms.

Tried to buy these a couple of years ago. If I remember correctly they are sold with the replacement dash.
