This popped up on my regular GT Craigslist search.

It's actually located in the town where my in-laws live.

This has been around for a long. It's a Fiero.

What are you waiting for? I'd jump on that. Looks just like a NFGT if you squint.

I squinted and that didn't work for me. Then I closed my eyes and could see the resemblance.

This is a Fiberfab Avenger GT-12, aftermarket body for VW pan. This one looks like it has a lo-po 110 Corvair engine with an aftermarket center carb replacing the individual 1-bbl carb that would have been mounted to each bank.

They also made a GT-15 with a tube chassis for Corvair powertrain, and a "Valkyrie" with a tube frame designed for mid-mounted V8.

Design was definitely "inspired" by GT-40!

Also reminds me of the Bradley GT.

As a kid I dreamed about building one some day. Even ordered the info when I was in high school.

I'd say now, that I came out on the better end with my Ford.

I built an Invader GT in 74. 1530 pounds 165 hp. Came off the line like it was shot out of a cannon, fry the clutch 30 min and $5 you were back in business.
