Speed Week (Bonneville) Cancelled!

"Deteriorating conditions and wet weather at the Bonneville Salt Flats (BSF) forced the Southern California Timing Association/Bonneville Nationals Inc. (SCTA/BNI) to cancel Speed Week, which was scheduled to start on August 8. The event organizers were unable to identify more than 2¼ miles of salt suitable for a safe course."

Bummer!

Truly a unique American Hot Rodder activity and display of ingenuity.

Had the good fortune of going there on an SAE tour that Chris Economaki was part of. This was in the early 2000's, and believe it or not was the first and only time that Chris was there in his long and distinguished career. Great guy to talk to. Sorely missed.
