Was wondering where Joey H. was going to go after he left a very successful career with BMW. Great driver!

We shall see how the boys do with the EB 3.5L after a season of prep. Good to see the Ford Performance logo on the suit and Ford on the hood.

That Liger P2 car was a whole bunch faster than everyone else. I sense BoP adjustments coming.

IMSA always has problems with the web site video/live stream during the 24.

They did OK last year. I watched most of it streamed from my computer to the TV when it wasn't on broadcast.

Ford will have a full race in-car feed from the 01:

Scott is a really good guy and driver. He drove the Tide car in NASCAR after my client/friend Ricky Rudd left.

Ill be watching as many hours as I can. I LOVE this event, hope to do it some year (have done three 24 hour races in the past). It gives a feeling that SPRING might actually be coming, someday....

Not only Pruett but many have tried, Nascar is strange one. Been a fan of most all types of racing all my life, cars, boats, planes, bikes etc. and was fortunate to work with CART and CHAMP car for many years. Had the opportunity to follow the career of a very young and talented Jaun Pablo Montoya as he dominated in open wheel then later flounder in Nascar only to watch a rookie get in that very same Nascar seat and flourish. People joke about Nascar being low tech, nothing but bubba driving skills needed and only turning left but obviously not just anyone can do it. Not sure that level of competition is matched anywhere else in any form of racing.

Raj Nair talking 3.5L EcoBoost DP motor right now.

"This same engine is going to go in our Ford GT at over 600 hp."

They straight up asked if the GT is returning to Le Mans.

Raj said they haven't made any comment but "it's a pretty good platform if we decided to do that."

Shit!

24 hour races are crap-shoots at best. Can't imagine the crushing feeling of having it all go for naught when so close to the end.

Knowing the variability involved, it's hard to predict the outcome, but I think P2 is about as good as we are going to get. I'll keep watching and hoping.

Thanks for the streaming link Dave. It was fascinating to watch. Would never have found it on my own. Almost tempted to watch all night, but old age took over. Sunrise this am was awesome to see on a screen, but the blinding of the drivers and how they drive through it is incredible.

IMO, if Ford wants to win Le Mans in '16, it's going to take a couple of hundred million and at least six cars. I hope they do it, but if they want to fund it by sales of GT2's, we are doomed. Had a dream (nightmare) the other night. In a showroom and price tag UPC on GT2 was $ 539K!

It's been a super exciting race. The factory Porsches destroying each other, leading C7R getting toasted by a slow PC car, the BMW leading GTLM for hours with no rear end. Quite a bit of chaos. Bummer that the 01 lunched something in the transmission.

All comes down to the last 45 minutes. Nail biting stuff.
