Here's one proposal. Assuming sobriety. A late night cruise up and down the strip, with stops at LV landmarks for photo shoots. Since we're there, shouldn't we make a statement?

Hell, we'll pick up the sofa with you in it & put it in Dr Frank's rented VW van!

I was wondering if we could get a police escort for a "parade" run down Las Vegas Blvd? If not, I'd still like to put someone on the strip to video us all cruising down...

Have you ever cruised down LV Blvd.? I lead a group of GT's after Rally II. It took us an hour to go 10 blocks. I avoid LV Blvd. at all costs due to drunk pedestrians, foreign tourists in rental cars and tour busses. A police escort is necessary!

AMEN to that Tim !

Unless your a tourist who has never seen it, avoid the "Strip" at any time of the day. It's not to bad around 3 AM, but that's when they do any construction or maintenance on the road.

FWIW - I'd prefer a more rural parade run, at 'appropriate' speeds!

Barrett Jackson used to do that. They stopped this year because of the hassles with the Las Vegas police (or county, since that part of the strip is in Paradise). They don't want to shut down the strip any more and the number of officers it took to close every intersection along the route was the kicker. Nothing is going to prevent a bunch of cars from going but expect to hit the lights and have the group broken up.

Yep, from the south the farthest I will go is Mandalay Bay. Other than that we go north to the closest east-west side street.

Technically you need a parade permit to do that. But if a few GTs do it then it's not a big deal. It'll be hard not to get split up with the long lights & grid lock. My clutch won't like it.

Wifey and I always take 'the 15' (West side of the 'Strip) or Paradise (East side)...depending on just how far North we wanna go. But Paradise often can be a bear, too, 'depending'.

Koval Ln (East side) will getcha from the MGM as far North as the Wynn...or at least it used to. 'Haven't been on that street in years.

Actually between 8 and 10 in the morning isn't usually horrible traffic..cars or people. The other 23.5 hours are to be avoided.

Did anyone else catch the fact that Jeff thinks there are 25.5 hours in a day?
