Trouble with Air / Fuel gauge (Britospeed)...

Took the GT out last night for roughly 50 miles and noticed my air / fuel gauge bouncing everywhere. Didn't matter if I was on the gas or sitting still. The car had sat for a few days before last night and also, I have the Britospeed gauges. The other gauges seem to work great. Just wondering how to proceed...

Thanks,

Brian

If it is a wideband setup, The O2 sensors on these things go out from time to time and always gives wacky readings. That is where I'd start my troubleshooting session.......

Oops.....they are not Speedhut gauges. They are Britospeed.

Made by Lucas? Not familiar with this brand of gauges. Does this mean the "boost" gauge?

Only reference I could find is that of the replacement boost gauge like we have on the black car....one of the 30 psi ones?

That is the one and thanks for the link. As I mentioned earlier, it bounces from 10 - 18 all the time and the green light turns on and off intermittently. Sounds like a job for the GT Guys this winter along with some other items.

Thanks

Is your car highly modified? If not just have them replace it with the factory gauge that was removed to install that gauge anyway....jmo...

I have a Brito a/f gauge if you need one. I switched to Speedhut.

It could be a bad the gauge, sensor or controller or all three.

The controller is Innovate LC-1. You can hook up a serial port to the controller and test the function of it and the sender.

Cool. I will do some testing and get back with you. Thanks a bunch.

Follow the calibration procedure and see if this fixes it. Most times it will.
