Bought this project in pieces last year. About half way through now. Hope to have her running for the Daytona & Sebring HSR events end of this year.

Here she is back in her glory days in the mid 80s

They ran 2 engines. First there was an 800hp V8 & later a 1200hp turbo V6 :)

I believe it weighs around 1600 # so acceleration should be brisk LOL

I read in book CORVETTE GTP that they were faster than the Porsche 962s but were hampered by worse MPG & fact that GM didn't care about winning. GM was more interested in testing new tech than winning races. My car won 1 race w

That is some crazy hp to weight numbers. 1200 hp in a 1600 pound machine must be just a bit slower than being strapped to a rocket :biggrin I can´t imagine how it must be to keep such a monster under control:driving:

It has sophisticated ground effects so I'm not worried about corners. I think she was made for Daytona. I'm more worried about the brakes :)
