I have HUGE love for watches !!!
It happens that I sit for HOURS on www.chrono24.com with a glas of 18 year old Single Malt and dreaming and learning about all the Swiss Made timepieces.

What is your favorite? I love to see and hear what you guys think.

We do have the best taste when it comes to cars so let me know what or which one you dream of.

Cheers :wink

I’ve been a big fan of the BRM pieces for a while. They make some cool watches that are geared for car fanatics and antique airplane guys.

The US rep is here is Dallas so I can usually get a pretty decent discount.

This is what Frederique Constant will release in late April.
I am in love. I have one from before and they are simply perfect.

Don't have the financial wherewithall of most of you. It's cars vs. everyother hobby. I have to choose one and cars will always win. I'd love to get an IWC Big Pilot at some point, but that's an exhaust and a lot of gas money.

And my beater G-Shock Frogman. Goes to work with me everyday, to the gym, and everywhere in between. This particular combo is a JDM-only model that I had to source from the UK.

Instead of watches that are decorated with jewels and stones I’m more interested in the integrity of the movement and the processes involved in the manufacturing. The Germans seem to be on the right track here.

Chris, I love them all !!! Agree on the movement and the process.

Since TAG Heuer realesed the V4 Monaco I became totally brain damaged. I dream about it every day...

If you guys haven't seen it or read about it, give it a chance and look at the following links.

I collect vintage automatic Chronographs....mostly 1960s to early 1970s

I focused on Sport or Professional Chronographs: Diver, Pilot/GMT, Space or Racing inspired.

Almost all have colorful bezels or RPM inspired sub-registers and styling.

I started with Seiko Auto Chronos, then Lemania & Valjoux based movements and graduated to Zenith El Primero, Tudor, Omega, Heuer

I have some ultra-rare pieces:

-Glycine Airman SST (Concorde Pilot Maiden flight)
-Hamilton Count-Down (runner up Moonwatch)
-Omega Deep Blue 24 Diver Chrono
-Zenith Pilot El Primero (Lufthansa)
-Longines Orange Regatta Chrono

-Zenith Sqaure Blue El Primero
-Tudor Pre-Tiger Chronographs
-Heuer Autavia Calculator
-Sinn 142 Space 1 (Lemania 4100)
-Aquastar Benthos I 1000M

I purchased most for ~$1500 '01-'06 and many are now in the $5000 to even $10,000 range

I have about 35 watches now...down from a rolling collection of 90+

In 2008 I unloaded about 25 and saved up and ordered a C6 Corvette; watches are expensive!

Bonehead...I take it from your moniker and your model of the shoulder joint that you are an orthopod. I'm a total joint guy in Fort Worth....hip and knee parts installer.

My collection is limited but my "daily driver" is a Rolex Milgauss with a green sapphire. It is a bomb proof tank. My prize watch is a IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Digital Date Month in rose gold. I have 3 Tag Monaco's (2 Gulf editions) and a Tag Grand Carrera. My next watch will be a Patek Annual Gondolo also in rose gold.

You're correct, my friend. Shoulder arthroscopy (cuffs and labral tears, etc) is my primary gig but lots of fracture care mixed in out of necessity. Haven't done a total hip or knee since residency but I do lots of hemis (did one just yesterday).

I have a thing for square faced watches. Don't have anything too terribly expensive but like to buy unique stuff and perpetuals. The wife bought me a nice automatic watch winder for Christmas. I need to fill it up. I have a tough time justifying even $1000 for a watch. I'd rather spend it on guns or gold.

You guys have some nice ones. That Tag Monaco V4 is really sweet. $80,000? Whew!

IMPRESSIVE!

There's no way in the world I'd wear that as a "daily driver"!

I'd wear it daily while in 'Vegas, no question. But, not 'daily' in my hometown!

How long ago did you buy it? Do you know if Rolex still offers it?

I used to be more interested in watches but I just rarely wear one so I haven't bought one in quite a while. The last watch I got was a Corum Admiral's Cup Competition. Came in a pretty interesting liquid filled container.

Steve, I'll beat DBK to the punch here. Actually surprised he did not comment.

"Ware"???
