Is the Ford Racing shift knob different than the one that analogdesigner sells?

'cuda,

Yes, the Ford Racing shift knob is different in that it is highly polished and has the "Ford GT" logo engraved on the rearward facing surface. There is also a sleeve that can be optionally slid over the shifter shaft which makes it look fatter.

Note, I had puchased one and later removed it because the polished finish was always causing a nasty glare from outside light (the sun). The matte finish on the stock (or gtsaver) ball is there for a good reason!

Yesterday I had the car parked outside in the sun for the day in this great North Carolina weather of 90 degrees (actually a cool day for NC). When I came out I had to air the car out, start it - cranked the AC and after three minutes could enter the sweat box.

As I tried to leave - I grabbed the shift knob as always and almost "friggin" burned my hand!

Jay, ever thought about a leather shift knob?

BTW- going to order an Accufab X-pipe. They already shipped three....
