Anyone have an idea on how or where to look to find the rotation number of a FGT. My firs GT was a 2005 vin # 1814 and rotation number was 1749. My other GT is an 05 vin# 1599. Looking to find its rotation number. An yes, I know it will be around 1500 to 1600. lol

Thanks for any help

Mike

Assuming you don't have access to the yellow stickers that came affixed to it? Sometimes, people stick them on the window stickers or in the manuals.

Isn't that the build number in the Certificate of Authentication package? http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/s...ificate-of-Authenticity-Package-quot-WOW-quot

I think it's in there. I just looked on it and mine said it was build #1437 so with a VIN 1570 that would seem to make sense.

While we're on the subject, I'm going to beat the drum again about the C of A package - lots of new owners who may not have run across it. It's something every owner should get - well worth the cost and effort.

And when you DO get it, pass the info on to CobraJeff to put in his database (for the Cobra/GT40/GT Registry), because there's info there that Jeff can't easily get any other way.

Yes, definitely worth the $100. Here is the Ford link to order.

I think that the "Build number" from the SVT Cert package is different from the "Rotation number" that appears on the sticker on the windshield. Based upon numbers I have, it appears the "Build number" is the sequence number for the Model Year build (Build#1437 for VIN 6-1570), while the "Rotation number" (ROT#3467 for VIN 6-1570) appears to be the sequence in the entire build (of 2005 AND 2006 models). I have over 100 Rotation numbers, which for 2005 models range from ROT#429 for VIN 5-0298 thru ROT#1907 for VIN 5-2005, and ROT#2039 for VIN 6-0014 thru ROT#4025 for VIN 6-2045. So Rotation numbers for 2005 models will range from around 200 up to about 2000, and for 2006 models, they will likely be a number over 2000, up to 4025. I have not been able to completely correlate "Build"numbers and "Rotation" numbers. If more Forum members send me their VIN and Rotation numbers, we may be able to develop a correlation.
