Just in case you ever wanted to embed a youtube video within your post, it's really simple in the newest version of vB.

Post your thread or reply as normal, and where you want to insert your video, click the icon above the text entry box that looks like a vertical filmstrip and paste the video url. It's the 5th icon in from the right hand side.

It supports YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Hulu, Metacafe, Dailymotion and Google.

Voila:

Thanks Dave.

Not to mention that it keeps unnecessary files of the server.

Question, I'm not to savvy on this stuff but I would like to know how I can save to my computer the great U tube videos that are shared by members in the general discussion area of our forum... an example would be the ones where the GT is introduced in detail.....Any help will be appreciated...
Thanks,
Bill

In general it is not possible to save a utube video to a local copy. There are some add ons that sit inbetween your browser and youtube and try to snag it off to the side. I've never had success.

If I understand the question properly, the answer is yes. Youtube Downloader (CNET has it) is the answer.

Just right click in the middle of a video (capturing the URL), and then you paste the URL into YouTube Downloader.

I was ok until I saw paste and url in the same post. I don't like videos that much anyway.
