Thanks Sam! fordgt1000 - you could drive or trailer over to SoCal (near Magic Mountain), drop the car off and we would send you over to the local mall and in about 3-4 hours your car would be ready for the trek home. Email or PM me if interested as I would love to help you out.

Allen is the guy you are looking for if you want to stay local. Call (480) 596-2525, ask for Greg Maw (the best service advisor), and Greg will make sure that Allen does the work on your GT. If you have any problems, send me a PM. Cheers.

Chip

Kendall would be even better as he is a Ford GT specialist but he's 300 miles away. :biggrin

Not to contradict anyone and I am sure both Ralphie and Mr. Beck have had good experiences at Power Ford but my service experience was horrible and I would never take it back again. Caused more problems than they fixed.

GT specific troubles?

In my case, some of the problems were generic (loose or missing fasteners, connectors unplugged, tools left in the cockpit and in the engine compartment), and one was GT specific (alignment). On the positive side, :thumbsup to Dwayne Burke and Bob Rose.

I am very pleased with SanTan Ford. Located in Gilbert.

http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/showthread.php?6798-Verified-Good-Dealer-Service-Locations/page7

Here in AZ, Phoenix-metro area. I have personally had my GT & GT500 serviced at SanTan Ford located in Gilbert off the 202 and Val Vista.

I was extremely pleased.

I was referred to SanTan Ford by way of Shadowman's customer David Scholl, a Scottsdale GT owner. Who I am sorry to say, I have not personally met either. But both have taken the time to help a fellow brother via email.

SanTan Ford Service manger is John Bernath. 480-621-3768.

His front end service manger is Steve Gilhirst. 480-621-3763

John opened up San Tan and been with Ford 19 years. He also is a certified GT technician. The mechanic that worked on my vehicle is Ken. He actually greeted me and we discussed the service work performed.

I bought mine new from Berge in 06 and they were really good, actually great. Wanted to have a service done couple years later and many forum members suggested Power. Power took 5 days to change the oil and work on a fluctuating oil pressure gauge with the excuse that they had to "modify a lift". End result was that I had to buy a new oil pressure sending unit from another dealer and install it. Further, the drain plug was barely hand tight and leaked, missing several bolts holding the diffuser and a two fasteners on the front luggage tray that covers the battery. Good news is that they replaced the battery which is still doing fine. In the end, I would have been better off just doing it myself. Maybe it was a bad day but I will pass.

Upon the advice of my local Flagstaff dealer, when my half shaft bolts failed neared Phoenix and tranny fluid was spewing over hot surfaces and my GT was enveloped in a cloud of black smoke on I17, I had it towed to Sanderson Ford. They cleaned it up fairly well and installed the replacement bolts. All was done knowledgably and professionally. My only complaint was that pulling into the resort we were going to in a rented F150 was nowhere as cool as if it were the GT. I had my FRP pulley and tune done in Flagstaff by Babbitt Ford, and have never had a problem with them working on my car.
