What's it like to drive a LHD GT on a RHD road system ?

Hi VPC....

Being in a LH drive car in the UK is OK when you get used to it. The trouble is only doing it occassionally, and then the first couple of miles are quite scary! The main downsides are that you tend to drift towards the middle of the road - so I dip my passenger mirror to see the center of the road and glance at it to check my position. You can't see to overtake - this is actually a bit of a benefit as it forces you to hang back and protecting the GT from stonechips. Roundabouts (which I don't think you have in America) are difficult. The rules on roundabouts is that you give way to any traffic approaching from your right - approaching roundabouts, stopping at an oblique angle is difficult!

So it's a car for dual carriageways rather than country lanes - and, a car for France of course!

It's not that bad in the UK, you just need to be cautious.
