to the GT Owners when you are driving your car do you see anything you could do to your car to make it lighter w/o hurting integrity?

Hmmm, certainly nothing obvious. Weight reduction would have to be significant to truly effect performance. Muffler/exhaust is the most obvious and I believe the Borla system is lighter. It would probably be easier to put the DRIVER on a diet!

Put the driver on a diet -- has to be good for at least 20lbs :cheers

I removed the bumper, muffler swap, floor mats (8lbs) and may skip dinner tonight.
The big thing I think is the light weight wheel option.

Drop the subwoofer to save some weight.

A big area to save some unsprung weight are the brake rotors. The first step would be to find some compatible rotors with separate aluminum hats. The hot (very expensive) setup would be to get ceramic rotors.

I don't know of any aftermarket rotors that fit the GT. Of course if enough people are interested we might be able to get a company to build them.

aftermarket steering wheel (with no airbag)
titanium lugnuts

I think these changes on a GT with the standard radio and the optional wheels would weigh in at ~3250 lbs. curb weight (includes all fluids and full tank of gas). That would make it roughly the same weight as an Enzo.

I wonder how much less the 2.58 pully weights? Think I will start there.

If you plan on running 91 CA gas, which sucks by the way. You should get a 2.78 pulley. Mine makes 640hp to the rear and is on a very mild tune.

The extra 112hp is crazy fast. It is really to much for the car unless you get the new goodyear slicks, which wont be out untill april. Anything over 15lbs of boost and you will need to run 93 or better.

in the front boot, the air pump and liner probably weigh 10 lbs.

Just kidd'en about the 2.58, it was a weight thing. I have a 2.8 pully but am too chicken to put it on. (Warranty)
