Here's some data from another "super" vehicle rag shootout. It'll be up in the media section eventually, but I think it's worth posting now. I've seen some people persistently bringing up an old test of an SRT-10 versus a pre-prod GT as the benchmark of their head to head performance, but here's one with production vehicles. The numbers are slightly off because they are from an exceedingly hot desert test and R&T doesn't correct their numbers, unlike some competitors.
The disparity is not small :thumbsup
GT/Viper
0-100= 8.6/9.6
0-150= 19.5/24.1
100-150= 10.9/14.6
0-60 = 3.6/4.4
So you have +1, +4.6, +3.7, +.8
For comparison, in the same test, the gaps between the SRT-10 and the C6 were:
SRT/C6
0-100= 9.6/10.7
0-150= 24.1/28.9
100-150= 14.6/18.2
0-60= 4.4/4.8
Gaps of +1.1, +4.8, +3.6, +.4
The GT is to the SRT is what the SRT is to the C6, and I think that's saying a lot. The C6 is no slouch, but the SRT-10 is a much faster car. The SRT-10 is no slouch, but the GT is a much faster car. In fact, the disparity at high speeds is even bigger, which is surprising to me(sort of, I've never driven an SRT at high speed, but nothing I've ever driven is nearly as fast up top as a GT). I look forward to track day and drag day footage rearing it's beautiful head in the future.
