Thanks Tim, I can't wait to see it in person. I think this car will look great sitting next to my tungsten car. Thanks again Ted

Soroush, You are right about the conditions, I didn't expect to run 200+ but I was very happy to get it. The right place at the right time, that doesn't happen to me very often. Ted

The air is a killer. We need to run in a vacuum. Ted

Ford GT Forum 200 mph Club & Standing Mile Results

You have to make sure that you are at the limit of the RPM's in fifth or you will loose some MPH. For example I pulled 6th at 7,000 rpm the run before and only ran 198. Ted

Ford GT Forum 200 mph Club & Standing Mile Results

Soroush, My car put down 730 at the rear tires as measured by the man with a big shadow. The problem with the 3:90 gear is that the car tops out at 195 in fifth gear so you have to pull sixth gear just past the 3/4 mile mark. At 195 you want to make sure you get that gear change right. As...

Supercars Exposed episode of The Texas Mile

I had my 1.2 seconds of fame on the show. My car was the tungsten car with the number 12 on the side. I got in on the montage at the start of the show and right at the end of the show. Not bad for a car that wasn't running the best when they were shooting. Keith your car looked great and...

Congrats to Cody, 221 mph in the mile!

I am sure that he has driven your cars and after talking to him was when I decided to put the 3:90 gear in my car, so I guess that makes you responsible for my smiles. I am done with my hijack and will return you to your regular scheduled programing. Ted

Congrats to Cody, 221 mph in the mile!

I am not sure but I think it had something to do with air temperatures after the intercooler, it sounded like if the car saw a spike in the temps outside of a certain amount it would pull timing and that was the loss of power. Shelby#18, do you know Gary Paterson? Ted

Congrats to Cody, 221 mph in the mile!

I was keeping quiet but now that I have been called out here is my story. My car has the gen. 1 whipple with a 19 psi pulley, headers, high flow cats with an Ida pipe. I was running 100 octane fuel in my car, I have the 3:90 gear and Stillen's clutch, I run the stock Goodyear tires. Now for...

    3:90 Gear

HeritageBruce, I have a Gen 1 whipple with a 19# pulley. The only mile I have run is the mile associated with the Sandhills open road challenge, it is in August here in Nebraska and the corrected altitude is normally about 5000 feet above sea level so it is harder to get the speed that Texas...

    3:90 Gear

Shadowman is in the process of installing the 3:90 in my gal as we speak, I hope that BlackICE has the right numbers in his post, I would like to see 194 in the mile with my car. As I posted earlier, with the stock gear I ran 185.87 and never shifted out of 4th gear. My car had a whipple and...

    3:90 Gear

Thanks again, we have a standing mile run with the SORC in August. The first time I took the car there it was bone stock and I ran 175 in the mile. This year I had a Whipple on my car and ran 185, I was a little disappointed in the results, I was looking for 190. My run at 185 was in 4th...

    3:90 Gear

I was wondering who does installs of the 3:90 gear. I live in Nebraska so I am sure I will have to travel, I am fine with that I just want it done right. Thanks Ted
