2005 Ford GT Centennial White with Blue Stripes 4K miles

Officially sold Thanks for all the support from the forum. The car sold this week at a very fair price. I'll try not to cry when they load it into the transport truck. Thanks again to everyone over the past 3 years. JAM-GT

2005 Ford GT Centennial White with Blue Stripes 4K miles

In spite of the pleas of my fellow GT owners on this forum, I have come to the conclusion that it’s best to find a new home for my car. I am the original owner of this vehicle. It was purchased new, sight unseen from a dealer in Minneapolis. It was shipped to Seattle in an enclosed car...

    Advice on Selling a GT

Thanks for everyone's advice, including the generous offers for storage. I imagine that the storage offers come complete with an "exercise" program to keep the dust from accumulating. I'll list the details on the car in the "For Sale" section of the forum first and see how it goes. John

    Advice on Selling a GT

Thanks again, guys. I've thought about putting it on a lift, but I don't have the ceiling height to accomodate a car on a lift. I think my preference will be to store the car in someone else's garage while I store their money in my bank account. JM

    Advice on Selling a GT

I appreciate the advice so far. You guys aren't making my difficult decision any easier. I don't have to sell the car for the money. Part of the issue is space. Garage space in my neighborhood in Seattle comes at a premium. The GT takes up a lot of space (because you don't want anything to...

    Advice on Selling a GT

I'm looking for advice from the fellow members of this forum on the best way to sell a GT. I seem to be having a reverse midlife crisis. Three years ago I bought my GT, and now my wife and I just had twin boys (our first, second and last kids). I love my little guys, but the opportunities to...

Halfshaft Bolt Answers (all threads merged)

One more photo Since you guys are analyzing the pictures pretty closely, I did have one more close-up of the failed bolts that you might find interesting. By the way, does anyone know if any GT has had a bolt failure after it was repaired by Ford? JAM

Halfshaft Bolt Answers (all threads merged)

Bolt Failure Follow-up in Seattle Hi Guys, I just got my car back from Ford of Bellevue tonight. No surprise, the problem was failure of the halfshaft bolts. Ford apparently wants to analyze the parts, so they wouldn't let me keep them. For the purpose of collecting data for the forum, I...

Halfshaft Bolt Answers (all threads merged)

Another GT goes down I don't know if anyone is still keeping track of half-shaft failures, but my GT (2005 #1498, 2400 miles) just died this morning. I had just pulled on to Interstate 90 in Seattle and was going about 70 miles per hour. All of a sudden, I noticed that the RPM's had gone up...

    GT service in Seattle area

Seattle Service Hey Kageno, Good question. I went to Ford of Bellevue based on your recommendation here in the Forum. When I mentioned the "special program" and the price that you had written, they looked at me like I was crazy and said that they had no knowledge of a special deal. I'll be...

    GT service in Seattle area

GT service I took mine to Ford of Bellevue for it's first oil change last month. They were very courteous and did a fine job with the service (which included a warranty replacement of a leaking power steering pump). It wasn't cheap, however. The oil change ran around $420 with tax. They did...

    Power Steering Pump

Power steering pump Mine was replaced too, at 2000 miles. The tech that worked on my car said he had replaced about half of the pumps on the GT's he works on (Seattle metro area). JAM
