Yes you can definitely replace the headlight bulb. The OE bulb is a Philips 16530161 - it's a D1S type bulb rated at 35W - there are a variety of brands such as Osram who make these too, just search for a D1S 35W HID bulb. The OE ballast is also a Philips part and you can replace these too.

I wouldn't say it's easy to do - definitely would want someone who's worked on GTs before to be doing it but if you need the parts they're on our online store as linked above.

Hi Holger - If you mention the GT101 parts to the guys at Hagemeier they should be able to help - we supply quite a few GT parts to them though I don't think they've had to do one of these before.

First thing to check would be the speed sensor mounted in the transmission casing - these do occasionally fail - it lives in a fairly hot area - good thing is that it's not expensive or difficult to replace. Part No is XR3Z-7H103-AB and it's about $50. Second thing (and realistically more...

I'd think that's more likely a wiring or connector issue to the sensor rather than the sensor itself. In 20 years of working on these I've never actually seen a sensor fail. The code is suggesting an open or intermittent connection to the sensor. This can be a really frustrating problem to track...

If you have minor damage to the fins they are repairable - they are made from a fibreglass composite so can be built back up by a shop that are good with fibreglass. Our shop have done several invisible repairs in the past.

This is with a replica of the existing headlamps purely with the intention of continuing supply. Therefore it would be HID - going down the LED route would require development, testing and therefore more time and money.

We have looked into this with Bee Lighting in the UK who make all the exterior lights for the latest GT. We have had quotes and essentially if we can get the minimum order quantity of 25 pairs they can make them for £9000 per pair. The challenge is to get 25 orders....
