Yes, I see your point DBK. I have run across several toy cars using this style, all under license. Actually easier to find than GT toys.
This one wasn't done for a toy. It was done and sent to me by Ford. :banana

I seem to recall that current GT owners would be given the first right of refusal on next gen/continuations, correct? :wink
I forgot to add: at MSRP!

A companion for my FGT? Ya, count me in...check ready.......:cheers
So if they sold this at about the same price as a GT, (we'll call it 130k just because it should be a stripped bad ass since the GT is so smooth), that's $4,420,000 in revenue from this thread.
Who knows, you bring it out in August, FoMoCo may just sell 100 of em.
:biggrin
I just want a new Ford bad ass. The GT is so unreal and so unique, they spent all this money on the development, might as well cash that in with a successor. What would be the natural competitor to this car? Like the GT, not much...

It seems to me that if Audi can sell and R8 for 110-120K, this car should come in at around that price too.

I believe this car could be sold at that price as well, but it would be de-contented. Fine by me. For this particular car, I would like it more raw, more angry, and more brutal.
R8 is an interesting car to be sure, but it is not competitive speed-wise at that price.

Marketing study has determined interest level as follows: offer the GR1 at $110K, but you must buy the GR1, F150 & trailer as a limited edition continuation "Shelby designer edition", total = $150K and importantly, you must be a current GT owner to qualify for consideration. Car, trailer & truck are only available in custom sonic blue metallic, w/white stripes. GT owner wannabees will pay $195K for remainder allocation of GR1's, no trailer, no truck. Seems fair to me!! Now that a BOLD MOVE Mr. Fields. :biggrin
