I sure would be very careful, physcial inspection of the car and tittle would be a must. Shame on the seller if it is bogus.

I think its Maine and I don't think its bogus because my friend called and tried to buy it and the seller said he was sorry it was already sold. If it was a scam why not just keep taking deposits? If your a scammer you get as much as you can. Not only that there is another car with 700 miles red fully loaded for sale right now on ebay with no reserve at 149k. Unfortunately even though I paid what I thought was a good price 6 weeks ago 159k on a 157k msrp was probably too much. I just couldn't resist even though I knew these cars would be at msrp or less by November and I couldn't stick to my own creed of not paying over msrp. I think by January you will be able to buy the 2005 cars 10k under msrp or less and when you think about production numbers it only makes sense that these cars will depreciate fast like all these types of cars do unless they have a really limited production 200 cars or less. I had a philosophy though when I bought mine and that was I was keeping it for the duration so I guess it really doesn't matter what happens to the price when you aren't selling.

I also kept to a 'not over MSRP' creed through my 360's and 996 turbo (remember they were going well over sticker in early '01!!) but broke the rule for my GT, which arrives in about 10 days. I am waiting on a 430 at sticker this Spring--I hope. On the GT my premium was like yours, but I got the ability to nix the wheels, calipers and McIntosh which cut the price by close to 10k on stuff I didn't want to get, so I would rather pay the small premium on my car than by a loaded one at list.
WOuld appreciate some flavor on how the car stacks up vs your expectation...
Good luck with it.

welcome, I think you will find that all of the GT owners are very pleased with their rides, I know I am.

I also have a 2002 GT2 that I bought in 2003 from a dealer in florida that was going under, the car was brand new when I bought it with 6 miles on it. About a year before I bought it they were trying to gouge those as well, but I waited and found this one. The window was 196k and the dealer had 2 and was desperate to sell and I bought the car brand new for 135k. Now thats the way I prefer to buy them. As far as the 2 cars compare I would say favorably although I think both cars have plus's in different areas over the other.

I am a big fan of the GT2--and I drive a friend's one often on tracks. It seems much faster than my turbo (996t)--I expected some difference but not this much.
You got an outstanding deal.
