Some of the names I recognize from the Viper world. Friends with Ray, Cody, and Jerry, and a proud new owner of a silver/black car. I have been after Cody at ART for quite some time to part with his silver car, and am incredibly excited to have a GT, and can't wait for the twins to be finished up. Ray has been a bad influence and continues to push the boundaries of these cars.

Excited to say the least.:biggrin:biggrin:biggrin

Congrats! I'm in Austin and should be taking delivery of my car hopefully by the months end. We will have to rally somewhere in the spring.

Sounds good to me. I hope to have the car home in a month or so. It is under the knife in Buda currently.

Welcome!

Uuuuh...have you chosen the folding chair you'll be needing out in your garage yet? (You'll understand shortly! :lol)

Tim/Empty, thanks a bunch. I have 2000 feet of detached garage, and then a little attached one car next to my home office. It will be in the attached so I see it constantly. Just had the flooring diamond ground and checkered so it will have it's own little neat space. I am looking for some different HRE's for the car as I type this. Turbos, plumbing, intake, etc...will be black and changed up a little from this picture.

Eeeeeeeeh...'looks it may be a bit LACKING in the m.p.G. department, don'tcha think? I mean, what will all the "greenies" say?

THAT is impressive.

That is a one off from ART. I love having the turbos up for the eye factor. Their standard kits have the turbos mounted down. Both drive great, but I preferred the look of this one. It definitely is a little more involved on the fabrication side, but the look is worth it in my opinion.

Empty, more like GPM (gallon per minute). I am sure the greenies hate me for it, which makes me even happier.

I will certianly post some updates once the car starts going back together.

I agree it is an extremely beautiful layout.

The turbos themselves look big, do you mind sharing the PSI and power levels?

Edit; are there intake filters in there down low?

2112, thanks. I remember seeing the kit the first time, and literally was stuck on the motor for a good hour. Layout is a good term, and I think it looks fantastic. The car has diamond pistons now, but previous boost was at 18 if I recall, and made around a thousand or so. I am not looking to push the limits, just wanted a nice strong street car. Anywhere north or south of the 900-1000 mark is plenty for my use. I will leave the truly nasty stuff for guys like Ray and SW.

How does ART filter the intake charge? Do you have pics of the headers?

Don't have any good pictures of it for you at this point.

The intake pipes run to the side scoops to a set of K&N filters.

Link not working. Is the business still a going concern?

Are you out on your own now?

Not sure what you mean by going concern? Yes I'm out on my own but working on just my personal cars. I will still do business with the guys at ART as nothing has changed other than me stepping out.

David Weaver who was Cody's GM is owner now and still going strong... I have three cars being finished up there also...

As far as the wheels Brady... the new monoblocks in a 5 spoke look way good on these cars!!!

Course if you like a lip then this works also :biggrin

Little biased to this one haha

Did you get Cody's HRE wheels with the car? Thought he had black 5 spoke wheels actually....

Also like the 8 or 9 spoke monoblock which I did as a racing wheel on the yellow car now... have to find some pics... almost like a superleggera wheel...

No wheels, Ray, just the silver stockers. I have looked at the ADV stuff, but the five spoke above is just too smooth and looks like it should go on an R8 or Gallardo. It probably looks good in person, but I just can't warm up to it from the pictures. Jordan said he did a track spec for a gray car, so with any luck and pretty good odds, you'll post up pictures of that one when you have unburied it from the pile of GT's at your place.:lol

I like some of the ADV step lip stuff, but may fall back to the old faithful iForged stuff I have always run. I just want to do a step lip for some reason on this car. I got a price on the HRE Comp's over dinner, and I think the restaurant got to see my food as my jaw hit the floor, and I believe it was a good deal even:ack. Step lips are a hard find these days, and I waffle from day to day on whether to do a solid black wheel, or a polished lip with black center.

In short, I am broke and torn on what to run. I may splurge for some Krylon and hit the stockers.:biggrin

Stormcat, thanks a bunch.

Ray, I would love to see the new set up on old yeller. The last I saw, it had some brushed lip centerlocks on it I think. This being the first GT for me, and not being around them at all, I am having a hard time visualizing wheels on these cars. Cody was laughing at the house today about all of the pictures I have tried to save to see what I liked and didn't. I had found pictures of his cars that he didn't know existed.:lol

Sent you a PM regarding wheels and tires.

In no certain order.:confused Leaning toward the ADV track wheel. Reminds me a little of the stock wheel with a little more:banana

Welcome tanner, that is my last name!

You've got a good one then. Tanner was my chocolate lab I lost this year at age 12. He always ran in circles and barked like mad when I cranked one of the cars, so I figured I would have him on board with me here.

That's the same style and wheel that I ran on the yellow car to 269 MPH!!!

It is awesome!!! Congrats!!

It looks so different with the centerlocks on it, and it is kind of hard to tell when that thing flies by at 267. I liked the wheel on Cody's black car, so I asked his permission to run the same one.:lol I was still on the edge of whether to do all black or polished lips, but I went ahead and did my first all black wheel. Hopefully I like it.

Ray,

You keep taunting me with those damn center bolt wheels. I want a set so bad but I'm - struggeling/trying/working on/going to - stop spending money until my business improves. :willy

The picture of our two yellow GTs at the Texas Mile is one of my favorites. I'll see you at Safari Club in Reno next week!
