I may be old, but prickly pear margaritas sure do work to cure cabin fever and provide beer-googles for your guests

'Saw the vid of the NY mishap on FOX ... and OF COURSE the woman who got bumped into & knocked over by the Ferrari ALREADY HAS A LAWYER!!! And HE says his client is, "traumatized...she's TRAUMATIZED!" Oh, ya. I'm SOOOOO sure.

And if you see the vid, watch the guy who get's HIT(?) by the falling light pole! Now, does it look to YOU like it did to ME? That he was running toward the dollar signs - uh- light pole in order to GET hit by it??? (Check out his "acting" job on the ground!)

Is Pockets just cynical...or is he tellin' it like it pbly really IS?

'Name was mentioned on the T.V. news report (I won't mention it either).

'Just 'shows ta go ya' that even pros mess up once in a while when all the stars arn't perfectly aligned in the universe.

What I DON'T understand is why (according to the news report) the sidewalks weren't cleared of 'civilians' before that shoot? The car traffic was all 'staged'...why would the pedestrian traffic NOT be?:shrug

The street should have been 100% locked down and wasn't... This happens unfortunately in many situations.. reasons..... cost... The cost of owning 2 city blocks for "X" amount of hours is bookoo dinero $$$$

Once again, producers trying to save money but only because it has been done this way for soooo long.... it has become a norm.... Now, obviously if there was going to be a staged wreck, it would have been 100% lock down. But, because of the mere weaving back and forth it was probably thought to not be needed..

Todd, as far as the street being wet, it's called a wetdown and is done 90% of the time for visual reasons..... start watching TV & Movies, and you'll see that even when its not raining, the roads are wet.... Photo shoots too...

Ya, obviously that was their thinking. That's a "given". But, I would have thought LIABILITY concerns would have overridden the bean counters....'that the risks involved in doing a car chase(?) scene - no matter how slight - on a real street with real businesses on either side would have caused their ins. co. to REQUIRE a lock down.

Then again, mebbe they were insured by Dewey, Cheatum & Howe...

Have you heard there was ANOTHER wreck today doing ANOTHER car stunt for THE SAME movie?

This time it was a regular driver losing control and hitting some movie personal on the sidewalk.

Ya, there was no mention made about a "stunt driver" being involved...just that there was another car wreck on the set (or I guess I should say, "street").

But, I mean, KRYMUNY!!! 'Time to get outta that part of NY for the duration I would say! :lol

Ep - todays wreck was "near" where yesterdays was at. A couple of blocks away. The young lady driver said " she swerved outta the way into a parked car to avoid a taxi".

The balance of the cars just ran into each other trying to miss each other according to the officer tv interviewed.

Other than it was in NY --near yesterdays movie mess -- it's a non-issue, except to the liberal NY press.

Tim it would seem that a "wet down" would make your job 10X harder to perform safely.. :willy

Well, we know we'll get lock up that way and then all we do is play with the tire pressure, determining which is are possible pivot tire and slide tires etc....
